Hulk Hogan’s 911 Call and the Emergency Team’s Battle to Save His Life — What Happened

Posted on July 25, 2025 By admin

A 911 call and timeline describe the rapid response of emergency teams to WWE legend Hulk Hogan’s home following reports of a serious medical emergency early Thursday morning.

On July 24, 2025, a cardiac arrest alert was made for Hulk Hogan’s residence in Clearwater, Florida. The call prompted an urgent medical response, which included several rescue teams. Police reported that responders arrived within minutes and spent over 30 minutes trying to assist the 71-year-old wrestling icon.

In the audio, obtained by TMZ, a dispatcher can be heard using specialized terms while sending out first responders. “Bravo. Rescue 46, LR45, engine 46, cardiac arrest. Rescue 46, LR45, engine 46, fire attack bravo,” the operator said.

The transmission is briefly censored, likely to protect sensitive information, before the message is repeated.

The Clearwater Police Department later shared a detailed timeline on their Facebook page, outlining the events of the morning. The emergency call was made at 9:51 a.m. EDT, and due to the dispatcher’s swift actions, medics arrived at 9:56 a.m. They began performing CPR immediately.

A request for police backup was made shortly thereafter, and officers arrived by 10:23 a.m. Exclusive reports from People revealed that as of 10:28 a.m., medics were still performing CPR while working on getting Hulk into an ambulance. By 10:32 a.m., he was loaded onto the stretcher, but he was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital at 11:17 a.m.

During a press conference later that day, officials confirmed that a “death investigation” had been initiated, though they reassured the public that this was routine. There were no signs of foul play.

“We will release further details when available,” the department said on Facebook. “Our thoughts are with the family, and we ask everyone to respect their privacy at this time. Thank you.”

TMZ was the first to report Hulk’s passing, and People later received official confirmation from WWE. The organization expressed its sorrow, acknowledging Hulk’s pivotal role in helping WWE gain worldwide recognition in the 1980s and sending condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

Tributes flooded in from across the wrestling world. Retired wrestler Ric Flair shared his grief on social media, expressing how deeply shocked he was. “Hulk has been by my side since we started in the business,” Ric wrote. “An incredible athlete, talent, friend, and father. Our friendship meant the world to me. He was always there for me, even when I didn’t ask him to be.”

Ric also recalled how Hulk had visited him during a near-fatal hospitalization and supported him financially when his son, Reid Flair, was sick. “Hulkster, no one will ever compare to you! Rest in peace, my friend! 🙏🏻,” Ric added.

On July 25, Hulk’s wife, Sky Daily Hogan, shared a poignant photo of herself kissing Hulk on the cheek, expressing her heartache over the loss. She admitted she hadn’t been ready for his passing, despite his ongoing health issues. “I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time,” Sky reflected, adding that the loss was hard to comprehend.

She continued, “To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.” She also mentioned how much Hulk cherished his fans and how tirelessly he worked to attend events, even when unwell.

“You meant everything to him,” Sky concluded. “He was a believer in Christ, and I find comfort knowing his soul is at peace and that he has been welcomed home.”
