Sharon Osbourne recounts finding Ozzy in his final moments and what he said.

Millions of music fans around the world are still grieving the loss of Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July at the age of 76.
Yet the deepest pain is felt by those closest to him—his family.
Now, his wife Sharon Osbourne is speaking out about the final words of the legendary rocker.
Ozzy was aware
The news of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing broke hearts globally. The iconic musician died at his home in Buckinghamshire, surrounded by family, who confirmed he passed “surrounded by love.” His death came just 17 days after performing with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK.
“That performance meant everything,” a source told People.
“It brought his career full circle.”
Sharon revealed that Ozzy’s doctor had warned him of the risks, saying, “If you do this show, that’s it. You’re not going to get through it.” Ozzy understood the danger — going ahead with the performance could very well have cost him his life.
And tragically, that is what unfolded.
On July 30, Ozzy was laid to rest in a funeral procession in his hometown. Sharon was accompanied by their children, Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, as well as Ozzy’s son from a previous marriage, Louis Osbourne.
Before his death, the “Crazy Train” rocker and Sharon had returned to the UK so he could spend his final months in the country he loved most, fulfilling a long-held wish.
Now, five months later, Sharon is speaking publicly about his last moments.
He was having visions
In an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sharon shared that doctors had warned Ozzy, who had been battling Parkinson’s disease, that performing again could be fatal.
“One doctor told him, ‘If you attempt the show, that’s it. You’re not going to get through it.’ He didn’t want to die on stage,” Sharon explained.
She also revealed that in the week before his death, Ozzy confided that he had been “having dreams… seeing people he never knew,” adding that “he knew. He was ready.”
Sharon recounted the harrowing moment she found him collapsing. “He had a heart attack. I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him. I thought, ‘Don’t — just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone.’” Despite repeated attempts to revive him at home and later in the hospital, Sharon immediately recognized he had passed. “He’s gone. Just leave him.”
Their final hours together
Sharon also spoke about their last hours together. She described how he had been restless through the night, getting up frequently, and around 4:30 a.m., he woke her. “Wake up,” he said. When she responded, he asked, “Kiss me,” and then, “Hug me tight.”
Tearfully, Sharon admitted she wonders if she could have done more: “If only I’d have told him I loved him more. If only I’d have held him tighter.” Shortly after, Ozzy went downstairs, exercised briefly, and passed away soon after.
On The Osbournes podcast, the family discussed coping with their grief. Sharon became emotional describing a voicemail from former President Donald Trump. Kelly said the outpouring of support from fans “had been so helpful,” and Sharon added that Ozzy would have been astonished by the response: “He wouldn’t believe it. He wouldn’t. He didn’t realize how much he was loved… He never took it for granted. He had no idea.”
Rest in peace, Ozzy Osbourne. Please share this article to honor the “Prince of Darkness.”
