Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s marriage is reportedly “strained,” and the couple is facing “challenges” as divorce rumors swirl.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton haven’t walked a red carpet together since March. In recent weeks, rumors of trouble in their marriage have been spreading online, and now someone close to the pair has shared a new update.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been married for just over four years, but speculation has been circulating that their relationship may be experiencing strain.

The couple hasn’t appeared together at any red carpet events since March. They even skipped the CMA Awards, despite Blake Shelton being nominated.

Rumors that their marriage may be falling apart have gained traction online. Now, according to a source close to them, the couple has “gone through real challenges—nothing exaggerated or made up.”

“There were times when the tension between them was high enough that people around them quietly questioned whether the relationship could withstand the pressure,” the insider explained to The Sun. “It wasn’t about drama—it was simply the reality of trying to merge two completely different worlds,” the source said, adding that their very different backgrounds created friction.

Insider gives update on Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton amid divorce chatter

“Blake is as country as they come, and Gwen grew up in Los Angeles,” the source continued. “Those lifestyles don’t naturally match. They had to work hard to understand each other.”

The insider also revealed that when their relationship hit a rough patch, the couple sought outside help.

“They reached a point where things really could have gone either way,” the source said. “But instead of giving up, they showed up for each other and kept working.”

Thankfully, a photo shared over Thanksgiving weekend appears to paint a more hopeful picture. Gwen Stefani posted a picture on Instagram showing her kissing Blake on the cheek. According to the insider, that gesture was intentional.

“That was her way of saying—without having to spell it out—‘Relax, we’re fine.’”
