Bárbara Jankavski, a 31-year-old Brazilian influencer widely known online as the “Human Barbie” for undergoing 27 plastic surgeries, has tragically died under suspicious circumstances.
Officials confirmed her death on November 2 in São Paulo, where she was discovered wearing only underwear and showing visible injuries to her left eye and back.
According to authorities, Jankavski had spent the night with 51-year-old public defender Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto, who admitted to hiring her for “sexual services.” A police report obtained by CNN Brazil revealed that both had consumed illicit substances before Jankavski became unresponsive.
According to reports, De Vitto told investigators that he “realized she wasn’t moving after she had fallen asleep” and immediately contacted emergency services for help.
Paramedics guided him through CPR instructions over the phone, but despite their efforts, Jankavski was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities treating the case as suspicious
Officials in São Paulo have launched a formal investigation into Jankavski’s death. An autopsy and toxicology tests have been requested to identify which substances were involved and to determine if any foul play took place.
A friend of De Vitto’s later told police that Jankavski’s visible injuries had occurred earlier that same day after a fall, though investigators have not yet verified that claim.
A life of transformation
On social media, Jankavski was best known by her online persona “Boneca Desumana,” meaning “Inhuman Doll.” She amassed more than 400,000 followers across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms, drawing attention for her dramatic transformations and ultra-glamorous style.
She frequently shared updates about her extensive cosmetic procedures, reportedly undergoing at least 27 surgeries in her pursuit of the “Human Barbie” appearance that made her famous.
Following the heartbreaking news, fans filled her social media accounts with emotional tributes, mourning the influencer who had transformed herself into a real-life doll.
Authorities have not yet released the official autopsy results, but investigators confirmed that Jankavski’s death is still being actively investigated.
