CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A tractor-trailer rollover shut down the on-ramp from NC-16 (Brookshire Boulevard) to the I-485 Outer loop in Charlotte on Friday morning, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:52 a.m. on Friday, September 12, near the I-485 interchange in northwest Charlotte. As of now, the ramp remains closed while crews work to remove the overturned vehicle. Traffic in the surrounding area has been affected, and southbound drivers are advised to expect delays.
Law enforcement officers are on scene assisting with traffic control, and motorists are urged to follow detour signs and allow extra travel time. Officials anticipate the ramp will reopen by about 5:45 p.m.
Medic told Queen City News that no patients have been taken to the hospital.
The cause of the rollover is still under investigation.
