Yesterday, I shared a photo of 69-year-old Gayle King on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Personally, I thought she looked fantastic.
But many women disagreed—mainly because of how heavily edited the cover appeared to be. It turns out that “authenticity” really matters when it comes to marketing to women. It’s not just about seeing older women in magazines—it’s about seeing them as they truly are.
So, taking that feedback to heart, I’ve shared a few swimsuit photos of myself—completely raw and unedited. This is what a woman in her late 80s looks like, out in the bright Las Vegas sun, wearing a swimsuit. No filters, no Photoshop, no makeup team, no special lighting.
I hope this encourages you to embrace your body just as it is—and to wear your swimsuit proudly this summer.
