The tight-knit community of Barberton, Ohio, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 21-year-old Noah Hall, who died after a massive tree fell through a home and struck the bedroom where he was sleeping. The tragic accident occurred late Tuesday morning, April 15, 2025, around 11:15 a.m., at a residence on 2nd Street SW.
Noah, who had recently moved to Ohio to start a new chapter in life, was in bed at the time the 80-foot tree—likely weakened by strong winds during a storm—collapsed onto the house. Emergency crews arrived quickly, but sadly, Noah was pronounced dead at the scene. He was described by family as a compassionate, kind-hearted young man with a love for football, video games, and his three sisters.
His mother, Ashley Hall, shared haunting photos of the damage and expressed her devastation on Facebook, calling it “a mother’s worst fear.” The white home, now partially destroyed, stands as a painful reminder of how quickly life can change. A friend who lived downstairs was not home at the time and survived, but described the scene as “devastating.”
Originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, Noah had graduated from Clinton High School in Tennessee and worked at a Wendy’s in Norton. Those who knew him say his humor lit up rooms, and he never hesitated to lend an ear to someone who needed it.
To help cover funeral costs, a GoFundMe page has been set up with a goal of $500. As of now, $310 has been raised. His obituary notes a visitation and service scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, at James H. Davis Funeral Home.
Noah is survived by his mother Ashley, sisters Aaliyah and Brizanna Graves, and Jayden Ramos, along with many grieving relatives and friends. For those who wish to honor his memory, the funeral home has made a tribute book available online where people can leave messages, memories, and condolences.
In the words of one community member: “Barberton cannot catch a break. Put his family in your prayers. His name was Noah.” 💔
